As an NSU student (or employee) you have 3 pieces of information registered with the U that give you access to various resources:
NSU-Net User ID (AKA username): Is what you use to log in to EVERYTHING NSU: Web Services, Web Mail, Blackboard, computers on campus, databases and Ebooks off campus, etc.
PIN: This is a true Personal Identification Number - a 6 digit number - it was originally in the system as your birthdate, but you should have had to change it at some point - hopefully you did. It's how you look up your class schedule, grades/unofficial transcript, financial aid information, account balance, etc. In other words, PERSONAL STUFF - keep it personal.
Password: This is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT entity - it was originally a computer-generated, totally random series of letters and numbers...chances are, you didn't know what it was for at the time and discarded it.
